Marcia Ann Schwendeman Smith, 73, of Marietta, Ohio, died Saturday, July 14, 2018 at her home. She was born on June 24, 1945 in Marietta, to Thomas Leo and Norma Evelyn Born Schwendeman.
She was a 1963 graduate of Marietta High School. Marcia loved animals, especially dogs and cats. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting and shopping. Marcia adored her sons and grandchildren, she loved to spend time with them and tell stories about them.
She is survived by her sons, Mark Smith (Stacey) of Louisville, KY and Jason Smith (Rosie) of Lorton, VA; four grandchildren, Emma, Sophia and Marshall Smith and Emma Wilson; brothers, Larry Schwendeman (Carol) of Marietta, Mike Schwendeman of Vincent and Mark Schwendeman (Beth) of Marietta; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Aaron Smith; and grandson, Brock Smith.
Her Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at Jaycee Estates, 1689 1/2 Colegate Drive, Marietta, from 4:00 to 7:00. Private burial of her ashes will be held at a later time.
