Margaret E. Grubb, 83, of Marietta died Friday at Harmar Place. She was born July 1, 1931 in Marietta, a daughter of Frank E. and Dorothy M. Ketter Grubb. Margaret had worked at Airolite, retiring in 1993 following 44 years of employment. She was a 1949 graduate of St. Mary's Catholic High School, was a member of the Basilica of St. Mary of the Assumption and the CWC. Margaret is survived by her sister, Mary Lou Doan of Marietta, and nieces and nephew, Janet Schaad (Tom) of Marietta, Diane Zwick (Joe) of Marr, Cindy Ankrom (Jim) of Parkersburg, WV, Carol O'Grady of Marietta and Jeff Doan (Margaret) of Gainesville, FL. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Martha Needham. Funeral Liturgy, with Mass, will be held at the Basilica of St. Mary of the Assumption at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, September 1, 2014, with the Rev. Msgr. John Michael Campbell as celebrant. Friends may call at the Marietta Chapel of Cawley & Peoples Funeral Home between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, where the family will be present to greet people beginning at 1:00 p.m. Burial will be in New St. Mary's Cemetery.
