Margaret Ruth Malone

December 4, 1923 — March 29, 2011

Margaret R. Malone, 87, of Canal Winchester and formerly of Lowell, peacefully passed away Tuesday, March 29, 2011, while visiting her daughters in Zephyrhills, FL. She is survived by one brother, Ralph Smith. She leaves behind her loving daughters, Wenonah (Hervey) Flesher of Pickerington, Doris (Kenneth) Kopp of Elyria and Judy (Thomas) Reuter of Canal Winchester, sixteen grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren, one great great grand child and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lemuel "Jack" Malone, stepdaughter and husband, Estha and Ernie Arnett, her parents, Clyde and Velma Smith, sister, Hazel, and brothers and spouses, Encil and Dorothy, Vernon and Ruth, Lester and Eleanor, Leroy and Wilsie, sister in law, Betty, and two nieces and two nephews. She was retired from Marietta Memorial Hospital. Margaret was a 67 year member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Unit #750. She will be greatly missed, and the impact she had on her loved ones will be remembered always. The family will receive friends at the Lowell Chapel of Cawley & Peoples Funeral Home from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday. Services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 2, 2011, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Lowell. Donations can be made to the L-A Fire & Rescue Squad.
