Marie Louise Mason

Marie L. Mason, 91, of St. Rt. 530, Lowell, died Tuesday, December 23, 2008, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Parkersburg, WV. She was born January 18, 1917 in Lille, France. She was a graduate of Marietta College. She had worked at Marietta Public Library and Marietta Schools libraries, and later, at Marietta College, as an instructor of French. Marie is survived by her two daughters, Janet L. Mason of Newark, DE and Jacqueline E. Hlubb (John) of Lowell; two grandchildren, Christopher and Tiffany Hlubb, and a brother, Andre Lami of France. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold A. Mason in 2001, and a brother. There will be public visitation on Friday, December 26, 2008, from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Lowell Chapel of Cawley & Peoples Funeral Home. There will be a private family committal service later that day at Greenlawn Cemetery. Donations may be made to the L-A Fire & Rescue Squad.
