Marjorie Stacy Hardy of Ainsworth, Nebraska, formerly of Putnam Place, Marietta, Ohio, passed away on Monday, July 2, 2012 in Nebraska.

Marjorie was born on April 29, 1914 in Watertown, Ohio to Clyde A. Stacy and Nellie Burchett Stacy. She graduated from Waterford High School in 1932 and married John E. Hardy on November 7, 1935 and resided in Marietta, OH. Her husband, parents, eight sisters, two brothers, and several nieces and nephews preceded Marjorie in death.

She is survived by son John Stephen Hardy (Marcia) of Fort Mill, SC and daughter Diane Huston (Jim Ramm) of Ainsworth, NE. She is also survived by grandchildren Jeffery Hardy of Akron, OH, Shannon Wilson (Joe) of Louisville, KY, Amy Lewis (Eric) of Hilliard, OH, Stacy Haskell of Ainsworth, NE, Christy Huston of Ainsworth, NE, Justin Huston of Palisade, NE, Jennifer Cole of Hopkins, MN, Elizabeth Holcombe of York, SC, twelve great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Marjorie lived in Marietta, OH for 69 years and always considered it her home. She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, and Rebecca Circle in Marietta. Also, she was a member of the Girls Council of the Betsy Mills Club, Marion School PTA, and the Republican Women's Club. Marjorie retired as receptionist of Charles Hairdressers. Her hobbies were reading, crossword puzzles and needlepoint.

A public service to celebrate her life will be held at the Christ United Methodist Church in Marietta on Saturday, July 21, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. Family will greet friends following the service at reception in the church social hall. Private burial of her ashes will be at East Lawn Memorial Park. Memorials made be made to Christ United Methodist Church, 301 Wooster St., Marietta, Ohio 45750.
