Martha J. Cannon, 93, of Marietta, died Sunday, May 24, 2015 at the Marietta Center. She was born on May 21, 1922 in Zanesville, Ohio, to the late Thomas and Clara Harper Scott. Martha was a 1941 graduate of Zanesville High School and enjoyed sewing, quilting patch work. She is survived by her children, grandchildren and many friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Cannon, Sr., in 1978. Per Martha's wishes, her body has been donated to science. Upon completion of the donation, her ashes will be buried in Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Zanesville with her husband. Graveside services will be announced at that time.
