Martha Ceola Henniger, 92, of Lowell, died Tuesday, July 13, 2010, at Marietta Memorial Hospital. She was born July 29, 1917 in English, IN to Warren and Annabelle Secoy Welch. She was a member of St. John's Evangelical Church in Lowell and the Woman's Guild. She is survived by a son, Gary Taylor (Lola) of Lancaster, two grandchildren, Kenneth Taylor (Jennifer) of Tuscaloosa AL and Beth Ireland (Ron) of Lancaster, five great grandchildren, MacKenzie Rae and Gregory Taylor and A.J., Ashlee, and Alayna Ireland, and her husband and best friend, Bob Smithberger, of Lowell. She was the last surviving member of her family of twelve. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Gillian Taylor, Paul Fortney, and Bernard Henniger, and a son, Steven Racy Fortney. Abiding with Ceola's wishes, her body was donated to the Ohio University Body Donation Program. There will be memorial services held Saturday, August 28, 2010, at 2:00 p.m. at St. John's Evangelical Church, Lowell, with Pastor Don Hart and Lola Taylor officiating.
