Martin Francis Lang

November 2, 1946 — March 15, 2018

Martin Francis Lang, 71, of Vincent, Ohio, went to be with the Lord, Thursday, March 15, 2018, in Marietta, Ohio. He was born on November 2, 1946 in Lowell, Ohio to Charles Henry and Frances (Brooker) Lang.

Martin was a 1964 graduate of Fort Frye High School. He retired from Eramet in 2006 after over 37 years of employment. He was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church and a former member of the Barlow VFD and Barlow Fair Board. Martin enjoyed spending time with his family, including going to as many activities in which his grandchildren participated in as possible. He also enjoyed time spent outdoors and wood working.

He is survived by his wife, Diana Lee (Bohl) Lang, whom he married on May 18, 1968; four children, Deanna Marie Ritchie of Barlow, Michelle Dawn Higgins of Barlow, Martin James Lang (Jessie Wagner) of Watertown, Ohio, and Matthew Jordan Lang (Angela) of Sunbury, Ohio; nine grandchildren, Aaron, Kaylee and Jenna Higgins, Adrienne, Lena, Olivia, Jaxton, Evan and Tyler Lang; four sisters, Lucille Henry (Gale) of Waterford, Linda Baumgard (Melvin) of Marietta, Ohio, Bernadette Huck (Gene) of Pataskala, Ohio and Norma Miller (Gerald) of Waterford, Ohio; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and five siblings, Helen Clair Wilson, Irene Barton, Jane Callihan, Jake Lang and Walter Lang.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, March 19, 2018 at the Barlow Chapel of Cawley & Peoples Funeral Home, with Pastor Rick Hastings officiating. Burial will follow in Barlow Central Cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday, from 2 to 8 p.m., with a Rosary being recited at 7:00 p.m.
