Mary Ruth Mcknight

Mary Ruth McKnight, 84, of Marietta, Ohio, passed peacefully in her sleep at home on January 2, 2025. She was born on July 22, 1940 to Emma Pearl and James Earl King.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Richard E. McKnight; her parents; sisters, Anna Mae Byers and Bonnie King; brothers, Albert and Author King; and her only son, Richard Thompson.

Beloved sister, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, she is survived by her sisters, Peggy Tennant, Valerie White, Joyce Brown and June Chapman; brother, James Earl King, Jr.; daughters, Micki Graham, Jane O’Curran, Connie Malcolm, Joyce Orders and Deborah Barr; 15 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. Mary Ruth is very loved and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She will be laid to rest in Oak Grove Cemetery, next to her husband, Richard, with graveside services on Friday, January 10th, 2025 at 1 p.m.
