Mary Therese Scharff

Mary Therese "Petey" Scharff, 61, of Marietta, died June 30, 2017 at her home. Born April 28, 1956 in Marietta, she was a daughter of the late George and Mary Tomana Scharff.
She had worked for many years as an independent provider for Ewing School. Petey enjoyed time spent with family and friends. She would gather items from her garden and bake and cook meals for all to enjoy. She also enjoyed her hobby of working with ceramics.
She is survived by her children, Heidi Ann Huck and Andrew Alan Huck, and their father Fred Huck, all of Marietta; grandchildren Corah Smith, Connor Thomas, Carson Huck and Jonah Altiero; and her sister Chrissie McKenzie, of San Diego, CA. She was preceded in death by her brother, Fred W. Scharff, and sisters Phyllis Meister and Debbie Dennis.
Funeral services will be held 7:00pm Monday, July 10, 2017 at the Marietta Chapel of Cawley & Peoples Funeral Home, with Pastor Robert Hughes officiating. Burial will be in New St. Mary's Cemetery. The family will greet friends for one hour prior to services. Donations can be made to Cawley & Peoples Funeral Home to offset the cost of services.
