Garnette Thorne, 100, of Marietta, died Wednesday, September 3, 2014 at Heartland of Marietta. Born November 10, 1913 in South Fork, WV to Curtis B. and Cora Watson Thorne. She was a nurse her whole adult life and taught nursing at many schools. Surviving are several nieces and nephews. Graveside services at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 7, 2014, Greenlawn Cemetery, New Martinsville, WV. Donations to Westminster Presbyterian Church Memory Garden, 708 54th. St., Vienna, WV 26105.
