Nancy Lynne Scharff Duquette, 54, of Marietta, Ohio, died peacefully while sleeping, on Wednesday, June 2, 2021 at her home. She was born on March 30, 1967 in Marietta, to Frederick William and Marilynn Peoples Scharff.
Nancy was a 1985 graduate of Marietta High School, where she enjoyed being part of The Wall of Sound. She attended Ohio University. Nancy had worked at Connex and Airolite as a CAD operator and did some freelance drafting for Connex through her business, Scharff Engineering. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family, playing scrabble and watching and attending Pirates games.
She is survived by her longtime companion and best friend, Donald A. Duquette, Jr.; her son, Thomas S. Duquette; mother; siblings, Kelly Jo Blaski (Rick), Steve Scharff (Rodney Barlow), Kathy Patalano (Kevin) and Brian Scharff (Holly); mother in law, Sandra Duquette; father in law, Donald A. Duquette, Sr.; many nieces, nephews, extended family, friends and her furry companions, Dex and Buster.
She was preceded in death by her father.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 8, 2021 at the Marietta Chapel of Cawley & Peoples Funeral Home, with Patricia Peoples officiating. Burial will follow in East Lawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be on Monday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.
