Neal Allen Kuhn

Neal Allen Kuhn, 71, of Lowell, died Sunday, May 11, 2014, at Heartland of Marietta. He was born May 22, 1942 in Marietta to Orville E. and Frances Twyla Bush Kuhn. He had attended Marietta High School, worked for Westinghouse Electric, and had been a truck driver. Neal was a volunteer for the Reno VFD and was a life time member of the First Church of the Nazarene. He enjoyed making pen and pencil sets and spending time with his family. Neal is survived by his wife, Nancy Vanscyoc Kuhn, four children, Tami Greathouse (Rick) of Marietta, Gregory Kuhn (Helen) of Highpoint, NC, Shari Finn (Michael) of Columbus and Nancy Sloan of Marietta, grandchildren, Jed, Matt and Jesse Shafer, Shelby Scott (Matt), Shawn Kuhn, Nicholas Kuhn (Ashleigh), Allison Howard (Taylor), Jenna Holcomb, Wesley and Frances Sloan, great grandchildren, Kaden, Ian, Kelcee, Kinley, Braelynn, Rylan and Emmalyn, brother, Jerald (Sue) of Marietta, sister, Joan Boylard (Carl) of Portland, OR, sister in law, Dorothy Mankins of Marietta, many nieces and nephews, special friends, Terry Hayes and Wild Bill, Dick and Joyce Gill, as well as his four legged children, Blue, Darcie and George. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Richard, nephews, Douglas and Donald Kuhn and niece, Victoria Watson. Funeral services will be held at the Lowell Chapel of Cawley & Peoples Funeral Home on Thursday, May 15, 2014 at 11:00 a.m., with Pastor Terry Schmelzenbach officiating. Visitation will be for two hours prior to his service on Thursday. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery in Lowell. Donations to the American Cancer Society or to the Alzheimer's Association.
