Nellie R. Holland

Nellie was a 1956 graduate of Marietta High School and was a Librarian at the Washington County Public Library until her retirement in 2013. She also sold real estate. Nellie was a member of the Twin Rivers Baptist Church. She enjoyed painting and art.
She is survived by two sons, James D. Holland of Delaware, Ohio and Jeffrey S. Holland (Yvonne) of Marietta; six grandchildren, James S. Holland, Bethany Sarah Holland, Heather June Holland, Aaron Holland, Jordan Holland and Shane O'Connor; six great grandchildren, Janessa Myers, Kasia, Easton, Nakya, Kruz and McKenna O'Connor; brother, Kenneth Edson Kapple (Joyce) of Belpre, Ohio; and nephew and niece, Brian Kapple and Kristine Crowe.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Darrill Dean Holland, whom she married on September 21, 1958.
Family will greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, June 19, 2020 at Twin Rivers Baptist Church and for one hour prior to the services on Saturday. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 20, 2020, with Pastor Jeff Baumer officiating. Burial will follow in East Lawn Memorial Park.
