Nicholas Charles Brooker

Nicholas Charles Brooker, 47, of Belpre, Ohio, died Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at Camden Clark Medical Center. He was born on June 17, 1970 in Marietta, Ohio, to Howard Francis and Susan Dawn Phelps Brooker.
Nick was a 1988 graduate of Fort Frye High School, and then received his Communication Degree from Washington Technical College. He was currently working for WTAP and recently became a News Director, he started there in 2002. Before that, Nick worked for WBRJ and WMOA radio. He attended St. Ambrose Catholic Church, loved art and reading, especially science fiction.
He is survived by his father of Churchtown, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his mother.
Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, March 9, 2018, at St. John The Baptist Catholic Church in Churchtown, with The Rev. Timothy Davison celebrating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday, from 3 to 8 p.m. at the Marietta Chapel of Cawley & Peoples Funeral Home, with the Rosary being recited at 5:30 p.m.
