Nina was fiercely devoted to her family, friends and her Lord and Savior. She was loving, kind, compassionate, shy, humble and had a sense of humor which would leave you in stitches. She worked at the Monroe County District Library for over 20 years. Nina battled brain cancer for many years and in everyone’s eyes, she won that battle with warrior courage. She faced her disease and treatments head on, never giving up. She remains an inspiration to many.

Nina’s love and devotion to her family and friends was felt deeply and will never be forgotten. Sadness of her passing gives way to joy knowing she is reunited with her husband Sam, son Brian, and many other family and friends in heaven. Rest now, strong warrior. Rejoice in the love surrounding you for eternity.

Her family is thankful for the love and compassionate care received from Amedisys Hospice, with special thanks to Mary, Jean and Sarah, Dr Kelli Cawley, Marcia McCullough and the staff at Marietta Memorial Hospital’s Cancer Center who battled beside her and for her. Thank you to the caring staff at Legacy of Marietta. Nina loved all of you as family. We are grateful for the loving care you gave her throughout her battle.

Nina’s family also thanks her church family at the Woodsfield Church of Christ for being such an important part of her life for so many years.

Respecting her wishes, there will be no services at this time and Nina will be cremated. She lived her life simply and humbly, and that is the way she wished to depart this earth.
