Patricia Mary Hedderick, 92, of Marietta, died Thursday, April 14, 2016, at Marietta Memorial Hospital. She was born on March 17, 1924 in New York City, to Thomas and Katherine Kennedy Feeney. Pat graduated from the Dominican Commercial High School in Queens. She retired from Washington County Vocational School, as the secretary to the director. Pat was a member of the Basilica of St. Mary of the Assumption, CWC, Red Hatters, and Beta Sigma Phi. She loved to travel, play bridge, volunteering for 55 plus at Marietta Memorial and spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by four children, Brian Hedderick of Madrid, Spain, Thomas Hedderick (Malgorzata) of Boston, Mass., Christine Hedderick of Athens, Ohio, and Katherine Symancyk (Thomas) of Boston, eight grandchildren, two great grandchildren and a very close friend, Frances Christy. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles George Hedderick, brother Thomas Feeney and grandson, Sean Frampton. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 16, 2016, at the Basilica, with The Rev. Msgr. John Michael Campbell celebrating. Burial will follow in New St. Mary's Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Marietta Chapel of Cawley & Peoples Funeral Home, with a vigil service held at 8 p.m. Donations may be made to the Woman's Home or the American Foundation for the Blind.
