Patricia Sue Arnold Reed, 74, of Marietta, OH passed away on November 1, 2024. She was born the second of twelve children on May 1, 1950 in Marietta, OH to Gertrude E. Huck Arnold and Howard L. Arnold.
She was a graduate of Waterford High School and graduated in 2002 from Washington State Community College with an Associate Degree in Business Management. She worked as the receptionist in the accounting department of the Marietta Times for over 33 years and later worked for Barnes and Noble bookstore at WSCC before her death. She was a member of The Women of the Moose Lodge Chapter 1363. She had been a 4-H leader for her daughter’s 4-H club and den mother for her son’s cub scout den. She had been a forty-year member of The Buttons and Bows O.C.C.L. She was Catholic by faith.
She is survived by her husband Ted Alan Reed whom she married on July 22, 1997 in Myrtle Beach, SC; two children, a daughter Serena Marie (Doug) Winbigler and a son David Wetzel Hay (Kristen Suszek); two step-children, Jason (Rachel) Reed and Eric (Natalie) Reed; two grandchildren, Miranda Kae Duskey and Alex Wetzel Hay; and five step grandchildren, Max Reed, Leo Reed, Blaire Reed, Kendall Reed, Presley Reed, Pearl Bagley, and Grace Bagley. She is also survived by her five sisters, Kathy (Tom) Leiden of Hunting Valley, OH, Evelyn (Steve) Waller of Waterford, OH, Joan (Mike) Aceto of Phoenix, AZ, Marcia (Glen) Pawloski of Myrtle Beach, SC, and Brenda (Brian) Work of Fairborn, OH; two brothers, Glen (Patty) Arnold of Ottawa, OH and Dean Arnold of Waterford, OH.
She was preceded in death by her father and mother and four brothers, Donald Howard Arnold, Neal Charles Arnold, Marvin James Arnold, and Blaine Joseph Arnold.
At her request she will be cremated with interment at Murdock Cemetery in Palmer Township. There will be no formal services and the family will hold a celebration of life at a later date.
