Patricia Jean "Patty" Sayres, 69, of Marietta, died Saturday, January 9, 2016, at Harmar Place. She was born on April 7, 1946, in Marietta, to Charles and Ethel Christy Morrison. Patty was a graduate of St. Mary's Catholic High School. She had worked at Highland Restaurant in Williamstown and later was employed by Marietta Memorial Hospital in the kitchen. Patty was a member of the Basilica of St. Mary of the Assumption and the Red Hat Society. She enjoyed checkers, listening to music and attending family sporting events. She is survived by her brother, Bob Morrison (Helen) of Marietta, two nephews, Eric Morrison (Tiffany) of Lancaster, and their daughter, Leah, and Matthew Morrison of Columbus, two nieces, Chrisy Heiss (George) of Waterford, and their children, Emma and Stephen, and Stacey Eddy (Scott) of Marietta, and their children, Ethan and Aidan, and brother-in-law, Clet Crock of Marietta. She was preceded in death by her parents, son, Jason Robert Sayres and sister, Shirley Ann Crock. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 13, 2016 at the Basilica of St. Mary of the Assumption. Burial will follow in East Lawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday at the Marietta Chapel of Cawley & Peoples Funeral Home. Donations may be directed to WASCO, 340 Muskingum Drive, Marietta, Ohio 45750.
