Patricia Jean Smith, 54, of 664 Fischer Howard Lane, Chesterhill, died Thursday, December 18, 2008, at Camden Clark Memorial Hospital in Parkersburg. She was born May 7, 1954 in Marietta to Julius and Irma Mayle. She was a member of the Apostolic Pentacostal Tabernacle (APT) in Chesterhill. Patricia enjoyed collecting dolls and plates. She is survived by her husband, David James Edward Smith, they were married on July 29, 1972, also by two daughters, Stacy Norris (Howard) and Janice Myers (Rodney) all of Chesterhill; grandchildren, Tyler, Tyrese and David Norris and Kylee,and Jadyn Myers; five brothers, David Lee Hill, Tony Hill, Paul Mayle, Jeff Mayle, and Duane Mayle; eight sisters, Maricia Croston, Mary "Lu Lu" Mayle, Theresa Kay Cook, Tracy Mayle, Tonya Mayle, Regina Walker, Bonnie Mayle and Sharon Lucaus. She had many cousins she grew up with that were more like sisters. She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, Alonzo and Esta Mae Mayle, brother, Emery Mayle, sister, Melanie Mayle and an infant sibling. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, December 22, 2008, at Southland Mission in Cutler, on St. Rt. 555. Burial will be in Mt. Hermon Cemetery on St. Rt. 550. Friends may call at the Barlow Chapel of Cawley & Peoples Funeral Home on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. and for one hour prior to the services at the church.
