Patricia Jean Stacy, 83, of Seventh Street, Marietta, died at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 14, 2009 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus. She was born on December 25, 1925 in Marietta, to Donald I. and Beatrice Lohr Dye Blue. Patricia is a 1943 graduate of Marietta High School and attended The Ohio State University. She is the longest active member of the First Presbyterian Church in Marietta, the Oak Grove Missionary Society, Ohio CCL, Washington County Historical Society, Ohio State Horticulture Society Auxiliary, where she served as President, the Women's Association of the Presbyterian Church, the Garden Club in Blissfield, MI, and the National Fenton Glass Society. She is survived by her husband, Robert Dee Stacy, whom she married on January 13, 1946; two daughters, Susan Davison (Loring) of Marietta, and Shirley Holzapfel (Paul) of Marietta; one son, James Stacy (Susan) of Marietta; four grandchildren, Christy Holzapfel (Lisa), Molly Jones (Kenny), Amy Mendenhall (Scott), and Robert Davison (Stephanie); seven great grandchildren, Corbin, Zakery, McKenzie, Emily, Lauren, Abbey and Emma; many nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Rose. She was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 19, 2009 at Marietta Chapel of Cawley & Peoples Funeral Home, with The Rev. Craig Butler officiating. Burial will follow in Rainbow Cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
