Patrick Edward Hadley,78, of Marietta, passed away October 16, 2016 at 6:30 a.m. at his granddaughter's home in Williamstown, WV. He was born December 6, 1937 in Parkersburg, WV to Georgia O'Neil Hadley. Pat was a 1955 graduate of Marietta High School. He had worked for 44 years at Weiser & Cawley Furniture. He loved going to the dog track at Wheeling, going to Vegas and watching sports. Pat always brightened up a room with his jolly laugh and he would do anything to help others. He never met a stranger. Through the years Pat never forgot how well his mother treated him and the wonderful care she took in raising him by herself. She was an amazing mother. Pat is survived by the love of his life, Mary Ann Sullivan Hadley, who also took wonderful care of him. Also surviving are two daughters, Kim Dunbarger and Debbie Tornes (Steve) of Marietta; five grandchildren, Kayleigh Oates (Stephen), Angela Bartholow (Jamie), Amber Scoggins (Eric), Aimee Carney (Bobby) and Chris Dunbarger (Amanda); two step grandchildren, Raynelle Rickly (Shane) and Brianna Tornes (Aaron Dennis) and 13 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother and a sister, Donna Lou Hadley. The family would like to thank Dr. Kelli Cawley and hospice for the great care given to Pat. Public visitation will be on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Marietta Chapel of Cawley & Peoples Funeral Home. There will be a private family service held at Valley Cemetery.
