Paul Neal Etter

June 6, 1923 — February 9, 2014

Paul Neal Etter, 90, of Marietta passed away Sunday (February 9, 2014) at the Arbors of Marietta. He was born June 6, 1923 In Marietta and was preceded in death by his parents Lyle H. and Helen Fritz Etter, 3 siblings Jane Vitt, Vincent and Joseph Etter, great grand daughter Josie Howell, and his wife Juanita Etter in May of 2001. He was retired from B.F. Goodrich and had served in the Army 8th Air Force in England during WWII. He was one of the early members of the Marietta Boat Club. Paul is survived by daughter Vicki (Scott) Howell of Sardis, OH; son Robert (Anne) Etter of Marietta; and six grandchildren, Cynthia (Myron) Rolston, New Kent, VA; Keith (Rebecca) Howell, Maineville, OH; Kent (Kimberly) Howell, Bloomingdale, OH; Jeffrey (Amanda) Howell, Shreveport, LA; Madeleine Etter of Columbus, OH and Jessica Etter of Marietta, OH. He is also survived by eight great grandchildren: Ian and Jesse Rolston, Christian and Ellie Howell, Sy and Ruby Howell, Ethan and Alayna Howell. A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made in Paul's memory to The Humane Society of the Ohio Valley, P.O. Box 5, Marietta OH. The Marietta Chapel of Cawley & Peoples Funeral Home is assisting the family with Paul's cremation.
