Paul Matthew Hetrick, 88, of Macksburg, died Sunday, March 24, 2013, at Selby General Hospital. He was born August 5, 1924 in Juniata, PA to William R. and Anna Mae Hetrick. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, having received the Purple Heart. Paul had owned and operated his own business for many years. He had served on the board at Selby General Hospital for many years and was a member of American Legion Post #750 in Lowell. He had attended the Lowell United Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife, Twila Doan Hetrick, three sons, Lynn of Canton, Jeff of Copley and Danny of Canton, a daughter, Becky of Canton, step sons and daughters, Eva Arbaugh of Marietta, Mary Delong (Hank) of Macksburg, Fred Arbaugh(Delores) of Beverly, Ralph Arbaugh (Robin) of Weston, WV, Will Arbaugh (Laurie) of Williamstown, WV, Doug Arbaugh (Karen) of Lowell, many grand, great grand and great great grandchildren, as well as four nieces, Eileen Rohrer, Vivian DuByne, Susan Maxwell and Bonnie Simpson, and a nephew, Ralph Forrer. He was preceded in death by his second wife, Margaret, a daughter, Paulette ,a step daughter, Fran Batten, three sisters, Miriam, Thelma and Bernice and two brothers, Ross and Gerald. Graveside services will be held at Greenlawn Cemetery, Lowell, on Thursday, March 28, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. There will be full military honors at that time.
