Paul B. Mallamaci, 79, of Marietta, died Tuesday, August 21, 2012, at Marietta Memorial Hospital. He was born February 3, 1933 in Niagara Falls, NY to Fiore Leo and Teresa Alviti Mallamaci. Paul was a U.S. Army veteran of Korea. He had retired as purchasing manager in 1994 from Elkem Metals. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and was currently serving on the Parish Advisory Council, member of the St. Vincent de Paul Society for over 20 years, the K of C, the Marietta American Legion and VFW, as well as having served as campaign chairman for the United Way. He and his wife, Anna, enjoyed their retirement by golfing and traveling. Paul is survived by his wife, Anna Marie Ciraolo Mallamaci, they were married on April 14, 1956, also by two daughters, Terese Waterman (Ray) of Marietta, Lisa Place (Bo) of Beverly and a son, Leo Mallamaci (Maria) of Dallas, TX, seven grandchildren, Philip Waterman (Jessica), Joseph Waterman (Mandy), Christina Schaad (Eric), Natalie and Nicholas Place and Paul and Megan Mallamaci, four great grandchildren, Easton and Lucas Schaad and Josi and Sophia Waterman, a sister, Joanne Presutti (Jim) of Lewiston, NY, sister in law, Carol Mallamaci of North Canton, OH and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Ottavio Mallamaci. Funeral Liturgy, with Mass, will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 25, 2012, at St. Mary Catholic Church, with the Rev. Msgr. John Michael Campbell as celebrant. Visitation will be held at the Marietta Chapel of Cawley & Peoples Funeral Home on Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., with a Vigil Service being held at 3:00 p.m. Burial will be in New St. Mary's Cemetery in Marietta.
