Paul A. Yost, 88, of Layman, died quietly, surrounded by his friends, at Appletree Assisted Living Home in Barlow on Saturday, March 28, 2009, following a long illness. He was born in Germantown, Liberty Township on January 25, 1921 to Charles A. and Freda Bode Yost. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Clara Seaman, brothers, Joseph and James (Mary), half brother, Clifford (Lucille) Yost, and infant brother, Clarence. Paul is survived by 10 nieces and nephews and their spouses; 19 great nieces and nephews and their spouses; 24 great great nieces and nephews; one great great great niece, and a brother in law, Lester Seaman. Paul, a World War II veteran, worked all of his life, owned businesses and delighted in investing and studying the Wall Street Journal. He was still buying and selling farm equipment prior to moving to Appletree. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 31, 2009, at the Barlow Chapel of Cawley & Peoples Funeral Home, with Rev. David Hubbard officiating. A memorial service will be held at the same time for Paul's brother, Joseph Yost, that died May 11, 2007. Burial will be in Barlow Central Cemetery.
