Phyllis Naomi Edgell, 74, of Brush Road, Marietta, went home to be with her Lord on Thursday, May 19, 2011, at Riverside Hospital, with family at her side. She was born May 9, 1937 in Coal Run. She was a member of Fairview Heights Chapel, where she attended for over 25 years. She enjoyed her dogs, cats, flower gardens, and was well known for her great cooking and pies. Phyllis is survived by three sons, Tim (Cindy) of Macksburg, Sam (Sharon) of Princeton, WV, Mark (June) of Marietta, and her daughter, Mary Busch, of Marietta, who resided with her and cared for her. Also surviving are grandchildren, T.J. Edgell (Jennifer), DeLynn Edgell, Amy Powell (Michael), Matthew Edgell (Joy), Sarah Edgell, Josh Busch (fianc Holly), and Andy Busch (Meagan), great grandchildren, Danielle, Noah, Madelynn, Charles, Cate, and Camryn Edgell, Ezekiel and Liberty Powell and Tanelle Busch, brother Dan (Janet) Hahn, sister, Carol Treadway, Aunt Birdie Allebaugh, several nieces and nephews and her special dogs and cats. She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Mary Miller Hahn, husband, Herman Edgell,and grandson, Brad Edgell. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, May 21, 2011, at the Barlow Chapel of Cawley & Peoples Funeral Home with Pastor Melvin Conley and Sam Edgell officiating. Burial will be at Tunnel Cemetery. Friends may call on Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. and for one hour prior to her service on Saturday.
