Piper Leigh Tornes, 19, of Marietta, died Sunday, September 21, 2014. She was born April 19, 1995 in Marietta to David M. and Patrice E. Sears Tornes. Piper was a graduate of Marietta High School and the Washington County Career Center Cosmetology Class of 2014. She had been employed by McDonalds, showed quarter horses, enjoyed her Corgi dog, Congress, and loved hanging out with her many friends. Piper was a member of the Basilica of St. Mary of the Assumption and the Pioneer City Riding Club. Surviving are her parents and her many loving family members and friends. She was preceded in death by grandparents, Joan and Clarence Tornes and Mary and Bob Sears. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 25, 2014, at the Marietta Chapel of Cawley & Peoples Funeral Home, with the Rev. Msgr. John Michael Campbell officiating. Friends may call for two hours prior to her service. Burial will be at East Lawn Memorial Park. Donations to the Humane Society, P.O. Box 5, Marietta, OH 45750.
