Ressie Mae Quick, 88, of Marietta, died Friday, October 1, 2010, at Marietta Center. She was born November 3, 1921 in Elizabeth, WV to Ray and Agatha Woodring Michael. She had worked for the American Pottery and later from the Marietta Moose Lodge #1823. She was a member of the Women of the Moose Lodge #1363 and enjoyed bowling and bingo. She is survived by a daughter, Joyce Hockenberry (Bob), two grandsons, Randy Hockenberry (Melinda) and Scott Hockenberry (Diane), a great granddaughter, Brandy McBride (Jason), a great great granddaughter, Jocelyn McBride, all of Marietta, a sister, Hazel Miller of Lakeland, FL and nieces and nephews. She was preceded by her husband, Earl E. Quick on May 1, 1975. They were married on April 22, 1940. She was also preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Holly Michael. Her funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 4, 2010, at the Marietta Chapel of Cawley & Peoples Funeral Home, with Pastor Gale Lauderman officiating. Burial will be at East Lawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.
