Richard Kenneth Lee

Richard Kenneth "Kent" Lee, 79, of Lakeland, Florida, died Wednesday (January 20, 2016) at Lakeland Regional Medical Center after a brief illness. He was born February 10, 1936, in Harriettsville, Ohio, to Maurice Clyde Lee and Georgia Battrell Lee.
He graduated from Davis & Elkins College, Elkins, West Virginia, with a Bachelor's Degree. Kent retired after several years working for his brother, Frank Lee Architect. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Lakeland. Kent loved to research the genealogy of his family.
Kent is survived by his wife, Ethel Huck Lee, they were married on January 9, 1965. Also survived by several in-laws, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Nancy Lee Brown, and brothers, Maurice, Raymond, Bob, Bill, Bus, George and Frank Lee.
Visitation will be at The Marietta Chapel of Cawley & Peoples Funeral Home on Thursday (January 28, 2016) from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. There will be a Vigil Service at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday.
Funeral Liturgy, with Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday (January 29, 2016) at the Basilica of St. Mary of the Assumption, with the Rev. Msgr. John Michael Campbell as celebrant.
Interment will follow at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church Cemetery, Churchtown, with full military rites.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the American Heart Association.
Ethel would like to express her gratitude to the doctors and nursing staff who cared for Kent during his stay at Lakeland Regional Medical Center.
