Rill Lewis Grosklos, 79, of 511 Giffin Road, Cutler, Ohio, died Wednesday afternoon, July 15, 2009, at Muskingum Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation, in Beverly. Born December 17, 1929, in Tunnel, Ohio, he was the son of the late Hazel Margaret Reed and Edward L. Grosklos. Rill was a 1947 graduate of Marietta High School and graduated Summa Cum Laude in 1951, from Marietta College, where he was a member of Phi Beta Kappa. He had been employed as a process chemist, which he truly enjoyed, at American Cyanamid, Marietta plant for 42 years, retiring in June, 1993. He had attended the Lighthouse Baptist Church, in Vincent. Rill was a member of the American Chemical Society for more than 50 years. He enjoyed reading and time spent with his pets. He is survived by his wife, Shirley Jean Jackson Grosklos, whom he married July 2, 1961, and by one son, Vaughn Eric Grosklos, of Zanesville. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, and one daughter, Jan Renee Grosklos. Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 18, 2009, at the Barlow Chapel of Cawley & Peoples Funeral Home, with Dr. A. C. Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Tunnel Cemetery. His family will greet friends on Friday at the funeral home, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.
