Robert Carl Fischer

Robert Carl "Bob" Fischer, 58, of Marietta, died Tuesday, February 8, 2011, at Marietta Memorial Hospital. He was born September 15, 1952 in Syracuse, NY to Robert Francis and Rosemary Klensk Fischer. He was a 1970 graduate of Onondaga High School in New York and had received his Associates degree from Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse and his Bachelor of Science degree from the California Community College. He had been employed by Marietta Memorial Hospital as the director of Respiratory Therapy, and at Washington State Community College as a Respiratory Therapy instructor. Bob is survived by his father of Syracuse, his wife, Heidi Ritter Fischer, whom he married on July 1, 1972, two sons, Robert Fischer (Jen) of Germantown, OH, and John Fischer (Christy) of West Point, NY, four grandchildren, William, Kristopher, Elizabeth and Madelyn, and expected grandchild in June of 2011, a brother, Michael Fischer (Diana), of Hilton, NY and a niece, Sarah Fischer ,of Columbus, OH. He was preceded in death by his mother. Abiding with his wishes, he will be cremated. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm Thursday, February 10, 2011, in the Graham Auditorium at Washington State Community College.
