Robert Bernard "Bob" Jaeger, 69, of Muskingum Drive, Marietta, died Saturday, February 18, 2012, at Marietta Memorial Hospital. He was born December 2, 1942 in Ilion, NY to Herman and Sylvia Miller Jaeger. He had served four years in the Coast Guard. Bob had retired from Ameritech, following over 30 years of employment. He had volunteered as a driver for the Washington County Veterans' Services and had been a member of American Legion, Post #64. Bob enjoyed time spent with his family and grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Janet Lewis Jaeger, whom he married on May 26, 1967, a daughter, Ellen Creamer (Kelly) of St. Albans, WV, three sons, Timothy (Stacy) of Waterford, Jeffery of Cincinnati and Marc (Chris) of Little Hocking, eleven grandchildren and one great granddaughter, three brothers, Karl (Janet) of Cincinnati, Fred (Cyndi) of Salt Lake City, UT, William (Patty) of Santa Paula, CA and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Henry Jaeger. There will be a memorial service held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 25, 2012, at the Marietta Chapel of Cawley & Peoples Funeral Home, with the Rev. Msgr. John Michael Campbell officiating. The family will greet friends for one hour prior to the service.
