Robert Leonard Mcnabb

Robert Leonard "Bob" McNabb, 77, of Lowell, died Sunday, July 7, 2013 at his home. He was born October 3, 1935 to the late Bert C. and Anna Stengel McNabb on the family farm, Big Run Road, Adams Township, Washington County. Having married Margaret Emily Kraps, March 5, 1955. Robert was a farmer in his early life. He enjoyed his family, and his dog, Dixie, as well as working on his antique cars, Western Square dancing, and camping. He graduated from Lowell High School in 1953, and lived on Big Run until moving to the Lowell area in 1975.

Robert had been employed at Archer Auto Parts and Ohio Valley Parts Warehouse as a salesman since 1963, retiring in January 2007.

Robert has had several antique autos, a 1928 Falcon Knight and 1931 Willys-Six were his favorites, which he restored from the ground up. Robert had won several trophies over the years with his antique cars. He was a Western square dance caller, and a member of the Muskingum Valley Twirlers square dance club and the Country Campers square dance camping club.

Born to this union were Henry Frank "Hank" McNabb, wife, Becky, of Lowell, Jane Ann Crowther , husband, Sam, of Marietta, and Joseph Robert "Joe", wife, Beverly, of Lowell, seven grandchildren, Jamie Lynn Kutscherenko, husband, Andy, of McConnelsville, Brian Curtis Griffin, wife, Amy, of Woodsfield, Carrie Louise Johnson, husband, Mark, of Lowell, Sarah Beth Camp, husband, Jason, of Lowell, Matthew Jacob McNabb, wife, Hannah, of Lowell, Melissa Jo Lemmings, husband, Jared, of Caldwell, Melinda Jo McNabb, of Caldwell, two step grandchildren, Stacie and Rusty Anderson, great grandchildren, Cody Jacob, Sidnye Roseleigh, Dawlson Lance, Wyatt Andrew, Lydia Marie, Seth Joseph, Alexia Marie, Lucas Garrett, Laney Grace, Hayden Matthew, Gavin Riley, Mason Todd, Marlee Jane, McCoy Henry, and Haddox Jacob. He is also survived by one brother, Richard W. and wife, Marie, of Waterford.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brothers, Clifford B. and Phillip R. "Dutch".

Robert was a member of the St. Johns Evangelical Church of Lowell. He was a member and Past Master of Lowell Masonic Lodge #436, Past Patron of Lowell #272 Order of the Eastern Star and Mt. Moriah #506 Order of the Eastern Star, Rufus Putnam Chapter #108 Royal Arch Masons, Marietta Council #78 Royal and Select Masons, Marietta Commandery #50, Marietta Shrine Club # 12, Aladdin Shrine Columbus. Robert was past president of the Pioneer Antique Auto Club of the Mid-Ohio Valley. He had served in the Marietta Company F, 166th Infantry Battery D, Ohio National Guard.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 10, 2013, at St. John's Evangelical Church, with Pastor Don Hart officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Lowell Chapel of Cawley & Peoples Funeral Home. Masonic services will be held at 7 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
