Robert Eugene "Bob" Neal, 77, of Edgelawn Ave., Williamstown, WV, died Friday, January 2, 2009, at Marietta Memorial Hospital. He was born February 24, 1931 in Parkersburg to Hugh O. and Letha Lorraine Laughlin Neal. He was a 1953 graduate of Marietta College, with a Bachelor's degree in Biology, and graduated in 1956 from West Virginia University School of Pharmacy. He retired from Revco in 1995 and before, National Drug, in Marietta. He was a past member of St. Xavier Catholic Church in Parkersburg. Bob had been a troop leader for Boy Scout Troop 215 in Williamstown at FUMC. He was a member of the Southeastern Ohio Academy of Pharmacy and had served on the PHS Alumni Reunion Committee for many years. He was an avid fisherman and loved the Williamstown Yellow Jackets and the WVU Mountaineers, especially their football and basketball programs. Bob is survived by his wife, Mary Lee Smith Neal, they were married on November 22, 1951; a son, Daniel H. Neal (Nancy) of Nicholasville, KY; a daughter, Julie Delaney of Williamstown and three granddaughters, Rebecca Neal and Emily and Katie Delaney. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 6, 2009, at the Marietta Chapel of Cawley & Peoples Funeral Home, with the Rev. Kevin Lantz and the Rev. Seth Wymer officiating.
