Ronald Alan Reed, 62, of Columbus, Ohio, died Tuesday, December 30, 2014. He was born July 9, 1952 in Marietta, Ohio to James Palmer and Doris Helena McGregor Reed. Ron received his B.S. in Business Administration with a Major in Marketing from The Ohio State University. He had worked for the U. S. Postal Service Distribution Center in Columbus for many years. Ron enjoyed his 1968 Ford Mustang and was an avid sports fan of the OSU Buckeyes, basketball and football teams, the Cleveland Browns and Cincinnati Reds. He is survived by his brother, Phillip Reed of Davie, FL, and niece, Kristen Reed. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 5, 2015 at the Barlow Chapel of Cawley & Peoples Funeral Home, with Pastor Jeff Hancock officiating. Burial will follow in Barlow Central Cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
