Rose Marie Decker

On April 15, 2024, Rose Decker, 68, passed away in her home.

Rose had two children but everyone that knew her knew that she had so many more children, grandchildren, and friends that were her family.  Her caring and loving nature was a large part of who she was.  She never met a stranger, would love, and hold every baby, and took every child she met into her heart.

Rose is survived by her brother, Rick Christopher (Toni), her daughter, Stephanie Christopher (LaVant), her son, Todd Neville (Stephanie), her nieces, Kelli and Rikki, her nephew, Justin, and her grandchildren, Emilee, Maleki, Zoe, Zuriah, Everhett, and many other children that were a special part of her life.

Rose was preceded in death by her loving husband, Jack Decker and her parents, Bill and Patricia Christopher.

Rose enjoyed crocheting, making scrubbies, going to the beach, watching NASCAR, and watching football, especially the Tampa Bay Bucs and Ohio State.  Rose had so many people that helped her over the last several years to be able to stay in her home.  There were so many friends and family (you all know how much she loved you) that checked on her, took her places, and just spent time with her.  The family would like to extend a special thank you to Karla Metz, Rose looked forward to getting coffee and having lunch during your outings, you made tough times a little better for her.   The family would also like to thank Susie Cox, you went above and beyond to make sure she was taken care of, thank you.  A special thanks to Karen and Mark as well.  The family would also like to thank the staff at Rockland Ridge in Belpre, Rose was always able to get back home where she wanted to be due to your work and dedication.

Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 20, 2024 at the BARLOW CHAPEL OF CAWLEY & PEOPLES FUNERAL HOME, with The Rev. Richard Dunbar officiating. Family will greet friends for two hours prior to the services on Saturday.
