Ruth Isabelle Kehl

Ruth Isabelle Kehl, 89, of Marietta, died Tuesday, July 22, 2014, at her home. She was born December 25, 1924 in East Liverpool to Floyd and Ada Sine Morris. She had been a tour guide with Park Tours and had managed the dining room at the Betsey Mills Club for many years. Ruth loved to travel and had been to all 50 states, as well as other countries. She was a member of the Basilica of St. Mary of the Assumption, the CWC, the Lions Club and the O'Neill Senior Center, where she enjoyed bingo. Ruth is survived by her daughter, Rosemary "Missy" Singer (Dan) of Caldwell, four grandchildren, Andrew Kehl, Kiley Nastevski, Ryan Singer and Stacey Mayer, four great grandchildren, Alexis Booth, Chase and Sterling Mayer and Nevena Nastevski, a great granddaughter, Maisy Booth, six sisters, Vivian Farnsworth, Mary Ann Thornton (Louie), Barb Barry (Dean), Janice Arnold (Larry), Dorothy Ogaz (Victor), Shirley Rose Haessley (Mack), and two brothers, Bob and Paul Morris. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald William Kehl, two sons, Deane and Gary, a sister, Mildred Steinhoff and three brothers, Wilfred, Charles and James. Funeral Liturgy, with Mass, will be at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 25, 2014, at the Basilica of St. Mary of the Assumption, with the Rev. Msgr. John Michael Campbell as celebrant. Friends may call on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Marietta Chapel of Cawley & Peoples Funeral Home. There will be a Vigil Service at 3 p.m. on Thursday. Entombment will be at East Lawn Mausoleum.
