Ruth Marie Welch, 92, of Marietta, died Wednesday, July 23, 2014, at Marietta Memorial Hospital. She was born March 14, 1922 in Wingett Run to Henry and Ethel Schlarp Moore. She enjoyed gardening, quilting and playing cards. Ruth is survived by her daughter, Sandra Jackson (James) of Lowell, son, Ronald L. Welch (Jeanne) of Minneapolis, MN, five grandchildren, Jeff Welch (Pam), Amy Bustos (Rafael), Mary Wettstrom (Johan), Lisa Turner (Dave), and Stephanie Kuhl (John), eight great grandchildren, Samantha and Sarah Welch, Carina and Colin Bustos, Lauren and Logan Turner, Hailey and Audrey Kuhl. She was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Welch, two brothers, Earl and Charles Moore and a sister, Jessie Fulton. Funeral services will be held on at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 26, 2014, at the Lowell Chapel of Cawley & Peoples Funeral Home, with the Rev. Thomas Hendershot officiating. Friends may call on Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. Burial will be at Greenlawn Cemetery in Lowell.
