Sally J. Voll

Sally J. Voll, 80, of Marietta, Ohio, died Sunday, December 30, 2018 at Marietta Memorial Hospital. She was born on September 14, 1938 in Marietta, to Clarence E. and Edna C. Young McKenna. Sally was a devoted wife, sister, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
Sally was a 1956 graduate of Marietta High School. After many years working at the family's business, Voll's Caf, she had an opportunity to change careers (she began a career in banking) and took many banking courses at Marietta College. She retired in 2004 after 22 years in the banking industry, working for Chase and First Bank. Sally was a member of The First Baptist Church, where she was involved with the Morning Glory Circle. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, playing cards, cooking, trivia games and especially board games. Making Christmas cookies with her family was a special annual tradition.
She is survived by her two children, Christopher Voll (Holly) of Kronenwetter, Wisconsin, and Allison Harlow (George) of Rio Grande, Ohio; six grandchildren, Anthony, Cory (Meggie), Jessica and Heather Voll, Bethany Johnson (Ty), Adam Harlow (Kristin), five great grandchildren, Carson, Madilyn, Isabella, Caroline Johnson, and Kaylee Fulton; brother, Richard McKenna (Helen); sister in law, Frankie McKenna; lifelong friend and companion, Baird Koon; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death in 1997 by her husband, Albert M. Voll, Jr., whom she married on April 15, 1962; two brothers, Jack and David McKenna; and sister, Virginia Smith McCann.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Saturday, January 12, 2019, at The First Baptist Church in Marietta, with The Rev. Chad Mugrage officiating. Burial of her ashes will follow in East Lawn Memorial Park. Family will greet friends for one hour prior to services and following the services at a reception at the church. Donations may be made to Marietta Hospice in Sally's memory.
