Samuel Dale Kiggans

Samuel Dale Kiggans, 78, of Barlow, and formerly of Lowell, died Tuesday, July 8, 2014, at Marietta Memorial Hospital. He was born July 12, 1935 in Dart, Ohio to Lawrence Earl and Sarah Kuhn Kiggans, Sr. He was a U.S. Army veteran of Korea. Sam had retired in 2000 from BFGoodrich, following 49 years of employment. He was a life member of VFW Post 5108 in Marietta. Sam is survived by a son, Alan Kiggans (Wanda) of Hillsboro, Missouri, a daughter, Kathy Anderson (Kevin) of Barlow, daughter in law, Michele Kiggans of Barlow, grandchildren, Ryin Anderson, Lance Kiggans and Andrew Kiggans, brother, James "Jake" Kiggans of Florida, sisters, Ethel Hopp and Lena Morgenstern of Lower Salem. He was preceded in death by his wife, Judy Alexander Kiggans, on July 30, 1994, a son, Jason, on February 21, 2011, and three brothers, Robert, Douglas and Lawrence Earl, Jr., and a sister, Ruth Blundell. Graveside services were held at Greenlawn Cemetery in Lowell, on Friday, July 11, 2014, conducted by Lowell American Legion, Post #750. Donations may be made to the Humane Society, P.O.
