Sandra Jean Schilling, 66, of Lowell, Ohio, died Saturday, October 13, 2018 at her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on April 26, 1952 in Marietta, Ohio to Chester and Shirley Mugrage Anthony.
Sandra was a Registered Nurse and worked as a caseworker for United Health Care. She was a member of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church and the Catholic Women's Club. Sandra was an avid quilter, loved to travel, camp, fish and most of all, spend time surrounded by her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by her five children, Donald Merrow (Kellie) of Lower Salem, Burnadette Mechelle Adams (Joe) of Beaufort, SC, Kristin Offenberger (Tony) of Waterford, OH, Stacy Leeper (Frank) of Granville, OH, and John Schilling (Rachel) of Canonsburg, PA; ten grandchildren, Josh, KyLynn, Joseph, Jeffrey, Bobby, Alexandria, Katie, Abbey, Aubrey, and Barrett; four great grandchildren, Macy, Myah, Troy and Ryan; six siblings, Jeff Anthony (Nancy), Carol Hopp (Don), Cheryl Brooker (Brian) all of Lowell, Tony Anthony (Tammy) of Marietta, Shelly Schexnider (Todd) of Lowell, and Madeline Anthony of Marietta; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles Robert "Poppy" Schilling, whom she married on June 3, 1974; and her sister, Jayne Harris.
Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 17, 2018, at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church, with The Rev. Timothy Shannon officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Lowell Chapel of Cawley & Peoples Funeral Home, with a Vigil service being held at 3:45 p.m. Donations may be made to the L-A Fire & Rescue, P.O.
