Sheryl F. Taylor, 53, of 102 Flintwood Drive, Marietta, died Monday, May 23, 2011, at her home. She was born September 7, 1957 in New Orleans, LA, to Clarence J. Franklin and the late Edwina W. Mimmitt Franklin. She had a BA in Education and had retired from EWING as a special needs teacher. She married Michael E. Taylor of Miami, FL on October 29, 1979. Sheryl is survived by a daughter, Brittney Taylor-Webb, a son Brian M. Taylor, all of Marietta, five brothers, Charles of Gretna, LA, Bobbie of Columbus, OH, Joseph of Kenner, LA and Thaddeus and Shun both of LaPlace, LA. She was preceded in death by her mother, a brother, Clarence White and a sister, Sandra Franklin. Local services will be held at the Marietta Chapel of Cawley & Peoples Funeral Home on Saturday, May 28, 2011, at 3:00 p.m. The family will greet friends from 1:00 p.m. until time of the service. Her ashes will be interred at the convenience of the family at Restlawn Park Cemetery in Jefferson Parish, LA. Many thanks to her tireless and devoted Home Health aides, Tammie Dotson, Nicole Sunderman and many others, as well as special neighbors, Rick and Dora Kocinski.
