Sophia Ryan Thomas, infant daughter of Richard Ryan and Crystal Lynn Gump Thomas died at OSU Medical Center, Columbus. She is survived by her parents of Marietta, sister, Zoey Lynn Thomas, grandparents, Charles and Lynne Gump of New Matamoras, Thomas and Dietra Dearth of Marietta, Ferrin and Peggy Thomas of Newport, great grandparents, James and Dorothy Gump of New Matamoras, Robert and Betty Elliott of Smithville, WV, Richard and Sue Harris of Newport, Don and Susie Thomas of Newport, Thomas Dearth of Marietta, great great grandparents, Jim and Betty Smith of Newport and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Preceded in death by great grandmother, Antoinette Dearth, aunt, Melissa Sue Gump and cousin, Ronald Dalrymple, II. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 13, 2010, at the Marietta Chapel of Cawley & Peoples Funeral Home, with David Beaver officiating. The family will receive friends from noon until time of the service on Saturday. Burial will be in Tunnel Cemetery. Donations may be made to the Sophia Ryan Thomas Memorial Fund, c/o Peoples Savings Bank in New Matamoras or Newport.
