Stella Sue Schwendeman

January 9, 1947 — July 15, 2012

Stella Sue Schwendeman, 65, of Vincent, died Sunday, July 15, 2012, at her home. She was born January 9, 1947 in Parkersburg, WV to Harry Burgett and Rosemary Young Swisher. Stella was a 1965 graduate of Williamstown High School and received an Associate Degree from Mountain State Business College. She was the head secretary of the technical division of Borg Warner of Washington Bottom, WV, retiring in 1982. Stella was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church. She enjoyed showing horses with Dusty and Mike, traveling, crocheting, cross stitching, and talking and visiting with family and friends. Stella is survived by her husband, Michael D. Schwendeman, they were married on August 4, 1973; two brothers, Harry Swisher of Marietta and Louis Swisher (Paula Bingham) of Newark, OH, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Dustin Michael. Funeral Liturgy, with Mass, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 18, 2012, at St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Little Hocking, with the Rev. Robert Gallagher as celebrant. Visitation will be at the Barlow Chapel of Cawley & Peoples Funeral Home on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., and also at the church on Wednesday for one hour prior to her mass.
