Timothy Allan Beardsley, 76, of Lowell, Ohio, passed away on Monday, April 15th, 2024 following a sudden heart attack. He was born on Sunday, September 14th, 1947 in Marietta, Ohio.
Tim leaves behind a legacy of love and dedication to his family. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Linda Beardsley, whom he married on June 8, 1968, sons, Randy Beardsley and Ryan Beardsley (Carrie), daughters Michelle Richards and Laura Welty (bonus daughter), grandchildren Karsen and family, Laykin, Brenna (Zach), Malyn, Tyce, Kylor, Elias, Sabine, as well as 3 Richards grandchildren, and great-grandchildren Maddox and Aubry Fawn. He is also survived by his sister-in-law Peggy Smith, brother-in-law Jimmy Stalnaker, nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends Terry, Auggie, Dave, Bob, and his masonic brothers.
Tim was predeceased by his fathers Clesson and Herbert Beardsley, mother Donna Beardsley, brother Sammy Beardsley and brother-in-law, Jim Smith.
Tim earned his Master's Degree from Marietta College and went on to have a successful career as the Director of Student Services at West Virginia University-Parkersburg, where he worked for over 39 years before retiring in 2016.
He was a proud member of several organizations, including the Lowell Masonic Lodge #436, Mt. Moriah Lodge #37, Lowell Knights of Pythias, Beverly Eastern Star, Rufus Putnam Chapter #108 RAM, Marietta Council #78 and Marietta Commandary #50. Tim enjoyed watching his grandchildren in their various activities, supporting Fort Frye sports, watching Mountain Monsters, collecting various items, and studying genealogy.
A funeral service will be held at LOWELL CHAPEL OF CAWLEY & PEOPLES FUNERAL HOME in Lowell, Ohio on Saturday, April 20th, 2024 at 12:00 pm, with a visitation on Friday, April 19th from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm and on Saturday, April 20th from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm. A Masonic service will be held on Friday, April 19th at 7:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Marietta Community Foundation for a scholarship for a Fort Frye student, or to L-A Fire & Rescue PO Box 406, Lowell, Ohio 45744.
