Tony Allan Blair, 59, of Coolville, died Tuesday, May 31, 2016. He was born October 23, 1956 in Marietta to Jack and Deloris Wagner Blair. He had worked at DuPont for the past six years. Tony was a member of the Christian Motorcycle Association, Masonic Lodge and Marietta Shrine Club. He loved riding motorcycles, hunting and fishing and was an accomplished auto mechanic, having been on a team at the Indianapolis 500 in the 1970s. Later, Tony had worked at Adams Custom Engines in Reno, NV, which included being affiliated with the Great American Race in 1986. Tony is survived by his parents of New Bern, NC, brother, Scott Blair (Jennifer) of Havelock, NC and sister, Tina Baumgardner, of Sun City, FL. Memorial services will be held at the Marietta Chapel of Cawley & Peoples Funeral Home 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 8, 2016. The family will greet friends for two hours prior to the service. Donations may be made to a charity of the donor's choice, in Tony's memory.
