Travis Charles Ours, 84, of Lowell, died Sunday, June 19, 2016 at home surrounded by his loved ones. He was born August 26, 1931 in Huntington, WV to Charles and Margaret Ours. Travis had been employed throughout the years at PPG, Waste Energy, and BFGoodrich, all of Akron, OH. Together with his wife they owned and operated Ma & Pa's Dinnerbell in Lowell. He enjoyed wintering in Florida, shooting pool, hunting, fishing and farming. Travis is survived by his four children; Harold "Skip" Ours (Tobie) of Waverly, WV; Michael Ours (Mary) of Kissimmee, FL; Melody Hardesty (Michael) of Lowell, and Michelle Wenglein (Steve), of Trabuco Canyon, CA; 24 grandchildren; 38 great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; a sister, Avelea Beckett; and a brother, John Ours. He was preceded in death by his wife, June Harless Ours; a son Robin "Bill" Ours; his parents; his siblings, Calvin Ours, Harold Ours, and Eloise Davis and a grandson, Chris Bennett. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday June 22, 2016, at the Lowell Chapel of Cawley & Peoples Funeral Home with Pastor Don Hart officiating. Friends may call on Tuesday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Burial will be in Waterford Cemetery.
