Vaughn Ellis Moore, 63, of Marietta, Ohio, passed away on Friday, August 3, 2018 at Ohio State University Medical Center. He was born on April 30, 1955, in Marietta, to the late Emmett and Viola Erb Moore.
Vaughn lived a life of worldly travels and experiences through his work, but most enjoyed spending time at home with his family. He loved golfing, wood working, cooking and sharing his hobbies with his family, especially his grandsons. In recent years he enjoyed participating in the Marietta Noon Lions.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Donna Jean Weinheimer; son, Jason (Beth-Anne Roberts); loving grandsons, Lucas and Jackson, all of Marietta; brothers, Emmett Moore, Jr. (Gracie) and Glenn L. Moore (Barb), both of Marietta; sister, Gayla L. Schmidt (Larry) of Kentucky; mother in law, Regina Weinheimer; life-long friend, Kenny Casto; and many nieces and nephews, including, Vincent. He leaves his family and friends with many laughs and loving memories.
He was preceded in passing by his parents and daughter, Sarah Moore.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at the Marietta Chapel of Cawley & Peoples Funeral Home, with the Rev. Msgr. John Michael Campbell officiating. Burial will follow in East Lawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
