Vincent Ernest Huck, 91 of Churchtown, Ohio died 11th day of June, 2020 at Marietta Memorial Hospital in Marietta, Ohio. He was born April 30, 1929 in Waterford Ohio to Leo D. and Lucy P. Brooker Huck.
He was a 1947 graduate of Waterford High School. Vincent worked as a welder at Muskingum River Generating Plant (Ohio Power) from where he retired in 1991. He enjoyed farming, gardening, bowling, golfing, playing cards and spending time with family. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Churchtown and served his community as a member of the Knights of Columbus 4th Degree. He was also a member of Holy Name Society, Churchtown Senior Citizens Club and Ohio Power Veterans Association.
He is survived by his children Melvin Huck (Donna S.), Marvin Huck (Donna L.), Bonnelle Flowers (LLoyd R.), Loretta Brady (Lou), and Lisa Berendts (Ben), eleven grandchildren, Vincent Huck, Jonathan Huck (Siobhan), Chad Huck, Meghan Moore (Ron), Shannon Hopp (Don), Adrienne Flowers, Alison Powers (Dan), Scott Westerman (Trina), Dennis Berendts (Amanda), Daniel Berendts (Allisha), Phi Nguyen (Ann), twelve great grandchildren, Elias, Crosby, Lacey, Reghan, Aiden, Wren, Kade, Emmett, Parker, Zachary, Allison and Vinson, six brothers, Herman (Alice), Regis (Mary), Lawrence, Leo (Joanne), David (Barbara), Danny (Jo), four sisters, Mary Zwick (Jim), Clarita Denius (Dave), Ethel Lee, Julia Strahler (Kenny) and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Allene Louise Arnold Huck, who passed away December 25, 2010, one son, Gilbert Paul, two grandchildren, Emily Susanne and Nathan Paul, one brother, Ralph Huck, one brother-in-law, Kent Lee and two sisters-in-law, Leora Huck and Paula Huck.
Friends will be received Sunday, June 14, 2020 from 2 to 8 p.m. at the Marietta Chapel of Cawley & Peoples Funeral Home. Due to COVID-19, safety precautions will be taken, with that in mind, the 6-foot rule will be honored and all guests, whose health allows, are to wear a mask. We prefer that guests with underlying health conditions arrive first from 2-3 p.m. For the safety of everyone, we politely ask that visitors do not linger at the funeral home after seeing Vincent's family.
Private family Funeral Liturgy, with Mass, will be held at St. John Catholic Church with The Reverends David Gaydosik and Walter Heinz as concelebrants.
